Round 1 2018 Race Report

Round 1:  Santa Pod Raceway – Festival Of Power

30th March – 1st April 2018

No Pro Mod racing took place this Easter weekend. The Friday and Saturday qualifying days were both rained off completely. Sunday was mostly dry but quite cold. A plan to conduct a single qualifying session in the morning with an attempt to run eliminations thereafter was quickly ditched. Weather conditions delayed the start time and, with higher-powered cars yet to make any passes on the new, untested track, it was deemed neither feasible nor safe to pursue the plan.

The following entrants were each awarded 10 MSA Championship points for attendance: Andy Robinson, Jean Dulamon, Jon Webster, Kevin Slyfield, Bobby Wallace, Wayne Nicholson, Michel Tooren.

All being well, competition in 2018’s MSA British Drag Racing Championship will now begin at The Main Event in May.
